Power of Attorney and Guardianship

Power of Attorney in Scotland – the Future is in your hands.

This campaign is about giving you the power to make decisions that will protect you, your family and those you care about should you ever lose capacity to make decisions for yourself. It has never been more important to plan for your future care- no matter what age you are, a power of attorney safe-guards your financial and health wishes.

More information and videos explaining the process.

Guardianship

If you are a Carer and do not have a Power of Attorney for the person who is unable to make consent of Power of Attorney (for example, if they have dementia) you may need to seek Guardianship, please find more information on the Public Guardian website.
